We started with a clean slate, then reimagined the property around a custom pool and spa and one unmistakable idea.
A complete backyard transformation that turned an outdated, underused space into a modern, luxury outdoor living environment, built for relaxation, entertaining, and lasting value.
The project began by demolishing the existing concrete, fencing, aging wooden pergola, and a large natural-grass lawn, clearing the way for a complete rethink of the space. At the center, we built a custom pool and spa as the anchor of the entire backyard.
Its defining feature is a custom diamond-patterned, pour-in-place concrete hardscape. Every slab was designed, measured, and laid out to create a precise geometric pattern, with artificial turf inlaid between each section, creating clean green lines that soften the concrete while emphasizing the architecture. Because the panels were poured in place rather than set as precast pavers, consistent spacing, crisp edges, and perfect alignment demanded meticulous planning and craftsmanship.
Around it, the living areas were built for both entertaining and everyday enjoyment, with expansive turf, a gas-burning fireplace, a custom Ipe-wood outdoor shower, a pergola engineered directly to the home, new stucco planter walls, decorative rock, and clean concrete curbing for a polished, low-maintenance finish.
